Santa Travels to Hospital in Fire Truck
By Web Chief Harold Dawkins
December 19, 2009
Santa made a trip to the hospital on East Rockingham Fire department's fire truck on Saturday morning December 19th. Santa was going to pay a visit to some of the children at First Health Richmond Memorial Hospital. The children were so excited when they saw that man in the big red suit fall out of the lime green fire truck. They knew that he had come to bring them something special. The children were happy when Santa took the time to set them on his knee and ask them what they wanted for Christmas. Little did they know that Santa had them a special gift on this day for them. After a small party Santa waved bye to all the children, climbed back into his "Lime Green Sleigh" and rode out of sight with sirens sounding and red lights flashing. Saying Merry Christmas to all and a Happy New Year. ( Photos taken by Fire Lieut. Kevin Bowman )
